Medical Expenses Reimbursement Program for international Students
The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) extends this program to international students. A portion of medical costs paid by international students will be subsidized (calculated according to the Health Insurance Law).
- Eligibility
International students with the “student” visa status and the National Health Insurance membership (including memberships of the National medical insurance systems
- When you receive medical service and pay the charge, please obtain a receipt from which whether medical insurance covers or nor.
- Please submit the Application Form for Medical Expenses Reimbursement with the receipt from the medical health institution by the date designated by the university or other education organization at which you are studying
- Subsidy will be paid through your university or other organization
